About the Role

RTT Services is seeking an experienced Arboricultural Contract Manager to join our growing team delivering commercial tree works, vegetation management, and site clearance projects across the Southeast.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role managing multiple contracts from initial pricing through to completion across a varied client base including developers, landowners, local authorities, and commercial clients.

While the majority of our work is currently commercial and development-led, we are seeing increasing opportunities within infrastructure and framework environments. This role offers the opportunity to grow into more complex contract delivery as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee multiple arboricultural teams across a range of sites

  • Price and tender for new work, producing accurate and competitive quotations

  • Plan, prepare, and issue job packs for operational teams

  • Coordinate delivery of works from mobilisation through to completion

  • Maintain clear communication between clients, site teams, and internal staff

  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

  • Monitor project progress and resolve operational issues proactively

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with client and industry standards

  • Support client audits and ensure teams consistently meet expectations

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures

  • Contribute to the improvement of internal systems, workflows, and processes

  • Support the delivery and mobilisation of larger contracts and framework opportunities as the business grows

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Contract Manager or similar role within arboriculture

  • Strong background in commercial tree surgery, including site clearance and vegetation management

  • Experience working across multiple sites and managing operational teams

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage both clients and site teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends

  • Good IT and administrative skills

  • High standard of written and spoken English

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working on larger commercial or infrastructure-related arboricultural projects

  • Knowledge of industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental considerations

  • Experience managing project budgets and cost control

  • SMSTS or similar site management qualification

  • CSCS (Manager level)

  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams

  • Experience improving operational systems and processes

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Team Leader to join our growing team. This role is suited to a skilled tree surgeon with capabilities across climbing and ground operations, delivering a wide range of works from domestic projects through to large-scale commercial site clearance. The role will also involve occasional night works on motorway and highways projects.

You will operate on a self-employed basis, with machinery and equipment provided. Applicants must hold all relevant industry qualifications and demonstrate the ability to lead teams safely and efficiently on site.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card

  • NPTC qualifications (relevant units for climbing and chainsaw use)

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Proven experience in arboriculture, including climbing and ground-based works

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Tree Surgeon to join our team, supporting the delivery of a wide range of arboricultural works across domestic, commercial and infrastructure projects.

You will be involved in all aspects of tree surgery, including felling, pruning, dismantling and general vegetation management, working as part of a team on sites ranging from private properties through to large-scale site clearance and highways works.

This role may include occasional night work on motorway and highways projects.

Requirements:

NPTC qualifications relevant to chainsaw use and tree work

CSCS card (preferred or required depending on project)

Full UK driving licence

Previous experience in arboriculture (climbing experience advantageous but not essential depending on role level)

Ability to work safely, efficiently and as part of a team

Desirable:

Climbing qualifications (CS38/CS39 or equivalent)

Experience on commercial or infrastructure projects

Additional tickets (MEWP, chipper, first aid, etc.)
